The math
Are spring break party cards worth it?
Usually yes, if you will go out most nights to the venues the card covers. Usually no, if you will go out once or twice or mostly somewhere else. The quick test: divide the card price by the nights you will really use it, and compare that to what the door would cost you.

The break-even, per night
Here is the PCB Club Card, divided by a 7-night week and by a lighter 4-night week. These use only PCB’s listed prices, before taxes and fees.
| Card | Price | Per night, 7 nights | Per night, 4 nights |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fred’s Card | $80 | $11.43 | $20.00 |
| Platinum | $100 | $14.29 | $25.00 |
| Ultimate | $200 | $28.57 | $50.00 |
If the door would charge you more than that per night where you go, entry alone pays for the card. Everything else on the card is on top.
Run it with your own cover guess
We do not publish a cover price, because it varies by venue, night and event. Set your own estimate below. The default is $40, a typical cover of $35–45 a night; it varies by venue and night. Worked example: at $40 a night for 5 nights, entry alone is $200 for the week, which covers Fred’s Card ($80) in 2 nights, Platinum ($100) in 3 and Ultimate ($200) in 5.
Paying at the door, entry alone: $200 for the week.
Card prices are before taxes and fees. Fred’s Card counts only nights at Hammerhead Fred’s, 8 to 10 PM.
What the entry math leaves out
Entry is the easy part to price. The rest of the card has value we will not put a dollar figure on, because the prices behind it are not published:
- Drink windows (21+). Ultimate and Platinum list free beer and a pre-mixed liquor option 3 to 5 PM on 6 days and 8 to 10 PM on 7 nights.
- The Beach Blast day party. Free for Platinum and Ultimate, drinks and food included, Wednesdays 1 to 5 PM at Señor Frog’s.
- One special event included on Platinum and Ultimate.
- Local discounts, such as $7 Domino’s pizzas, 20% off the menu at Señor Frog’s and 10% off at Pink Pelican (PCB’s discounts list can change).
PCB Club Card’s own answer to “does it save money” is that the card removes nightly cover, adds the drink windows and adds discounts. For the PCB-specific version of this question, read their worth-it breakdown.
When a party card is not worth it
- You will go out one or two nights.
- You will mostly be somewhere the card does not cover.
- You only go out after the entry window ends (for Platinum, after 11 PM).
- You are under 21 and only care about the drinks.
Our take
For a 5-to-7-night Panama City Beach week at the four partner venues, Platinum is the safe bet: free entry until 11 PM every night, both drink windows if you are 21+, the Beach Blast and a special event. Go Ultimate only if you will be out past 11 or want the VIP section. Go Fred’s Card only if your nights are all at Hammerhead Fred’s. Not sure? Take the picker.
Our pick: the PCB Club Card (Panama City Beach)
One card covers one of four weeks, every night of that week, with no blackout dates. Four partner venues: Hammerhead Fred’s, Señor Frog’s, Whiskey’s Saloon and The Liq.
