Red flags before you buy a party card

Most party card regret comes from the same ten details: entry that ends early, “free drinks” with fine print, blackout dates, unclear refund or transfer rules, vague pickup, venues that change, surprise fees, fuzzy age rules, hype, and extra tickets. Here is what to ask about each, and how the PCB Club Card answers it in writing.

Entry that ends early

Ask

Until what time does my card get me in free, and is that the same at every venue?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

Written per level: Ultimate free entry all night at all events; Platinum until 11 PM; Fred’s Card 8 to 10 PM at Hammerhead Fred’s only. It is in a table on the card page.

“Free drinks” with fine print

Ask

Which drinks, during which hours, on how many days, and for which ages?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

Ultimate and Platinum: beer and a pre-mixed liquor option, 3 to 5 PM on 6 days and 8 to 10 PM on 7 nights, 21+ with valid photo ID. Fred’s Card is listed with no free drinks, in plain words.

Blackout dates

Ask

Is the card valid every night of my week? If not, which nights are out?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

No blackout dates. PCB says the card is valid every night of your week.

Unclear refund and transfer rules

Ask

If I cannot go, can I get my money back, or give the card to a friend?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

Refunds are available up to 7 days before your week starts, and you may also transfer your pass to another eligible attendee before pickup. Plan with that in mind.

Long or vague pickup

Ask

Where do I pick it up, during which hours, from which day, and what do I bring?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

Noon to 11 PM at the Welcome Center at Hammerhead Fred’s, 8752 Thomas Dr, starting Saturday, Feb 27, 2027. Bring valid photo ID and your order confirmation. Our tip: go in the afternoon so pickup is not eating your night.

Venues that change after you buy

Ask

Which venues are named, with addresses? Where would a change be posted?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

Four partner venues are named with street addresses on PCB’s venues page: Hammerhead Fred’s, Señor Frog’s, Whiskey’s Saloon and The Liq. If anything changes, PCB’s own pages are where to check before your trip.

Prices that jump with fees

Ask

What is the full total at checkout, with taxes and fees?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

Prices are shown as $200, $100 and $80 “plus taxes and fees” on every level, so you know fees apply before checkout. Look at the final total before you pay.

Unclear 18+ and 21+ rules

Ask

How old do I need to be to get in, and to drink? What ID counts?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

18+ to enter with valid photo ID. 21+ to drink with valid photo ID. No exceptions, on all card levels.

Hype instead of facts

Ask

Are the headliners actually confirmed, or just teased?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

PCB lists 2027 artists as TBA instead of teasing names it has not confirmed.

“All parties included”, then extra tickets

Ask

Which events need a separate ticket?

How the PCB Club Card handles it

The card covers the week. Ultimate and Platinum include one ticketed special event and the Beach Blast. Fred’s Card gets discounted specialty events. PCB says per-event tickets will also be sold closer to the season.
