What is a spring break club card?

A spring break club card is a pass you buy before your trip that gets you into a set list of clubs and parties for one week. Depending on the level, it can cover entry, add drink specials at set hours and include VIP perks. You pick it up in town with your ID, then show it at the door.

You will also see it called a party card, party pass or VIP card. The name changes; the idea does not. You pay once, up front, instead of paying cover at every door, every night.

What a club card usually covers

Cover charges

Cover is the door fee a club charges to get in. A club card replaces it at partner venues, but only inside its entry window.

Entry windows

This is the single most important line on any card. “Free entry” can mean all night, or until a set time such as 10 or 11 PM. After the window you pay at the door like everyone else. Example: the PCB Club Card lists Ultimate as free entry all night, Platinum until 11 PM, and Fred’s Card 8 to 10 PM at Hammerhead Fred’s only.

Drink windows

“Free drinks” on a party card almost always means specific drinks during specific hours, for guests 21+ with valid photo ID. PCB’s Ultimate and Platinum cards list beer and a pre-mixed liquor option from 3 to 5 PM (6 days) and 8 to 10 PM (7 nights). Fred’s Card has no free drinks. What free drinks usually means.

VIP

VIP can mean a faster line, a roped-off section, a private bar, or just a word on the card. Ask which. On the PCB Club Card, express VIP entry and the VIP section with a private bar are Ultimate-only. What VIP actually gets you.

Day parties and special events

Some cards include daytime events or one ticketed show; others charge extra. PCB’s Platinum and Ultimate include a free Beach Blast day party (drinks and food) and one special event.

Pickup: card, wristband or phone

Most cards are bought online and then picked up in town, as a physical card or a wristband, with your ID and order confirmation. Some events use a digital ticket only. PCB Club Card buyers get a digital confirmation at checkout and pick up a physical card at the Welcome Center at Hammerhead Fred’s. How pickup works.

How it works, step by step

  1. Pick your week. Most cards are sold by week, and one card covers one week.
  2. Pick your level. Levels differ mostly by entry hours, drinks and VIP.
  3. Check out. Read the total with taxes and fees before you pay.
  4. Pick it up. Bring valid photo ID and your order confirmation.
  5. Use it at the door. Inside the entry window, at partner venues, during your week.

Who a club card is for (and who should skip it)

Good fit

  • You will go out most nights of your week.
  • You want the venues the card covers.
  • You are 21+ and will use the drink windows, or you are 18 to 20 and mostly want entry.
  • You like knowing the night’s cost before you leave the room.

Probably skip

  • You are in town for one or two nights out.
  • You plan to spend nights at places the card does not cover.
  • You only go out late and the card’s entry ends early.
  • You are under 18. Most spring break clubs are 18+ to enter.

Club card, party card, party pass: is there a difference?

Not really. Sellers use the words interchangeably. Judge any of them on the same details: entry window, venues, drinks, blackout dates, refunds and pickup. Our how-to-choose checklist covers all of them.
